{"id":537,"date":"2017-09-28T16:44:52","date_gmt":"2017-09-28T16:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/together-forwomen.com\/?p=537"},"modified":"2017-09-28T17:03:14","modified_gmt":"2017-09-28T17:03:14","slug":"women-have-finally-the-right-to-drive-in-saudi-arabia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/together-forwomen.com\/index.php\/2017\/09\/28\/women-have-finally-the-right-to-drive-in-saudi-arabia\/","title":{"rendered":"Women have finally the right to drive in Saudi Arabia!"},"content":{"rendered":"<body><p>Formerly, Saudi Arabia had been much criticized internationally because it imprisoned women who defied the driving ban as the two founders of \u201cWomen to drive\u201d movement.<\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia was the last country in the world that does not give to women the right to drive, but it\u2019s not the case anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia will eventually allow women to drive a car from June 2018, a first in the conservative kingdom.\u00a0 A royal decree had been passed to allow both men and women to receive driver\u2019s licenses.\u00a0 According to Prince Khaled ben Salman, women will not need to be accompanied in the car however it is essential to ask the permission of a man of the family to take the driving license.<\/p>\n<p>However, Saudis women are delighted with this new right.
